"First of all, I want to say about the essence of the program and the name that reflects it. First of all, our Institute is based on the vision of diagnoses and conditions as the characteristics of each individual person. We do not use the definition of contact characteristics as stigmatizing. We believe in the uniqueness of each person's experience and definitely do not set ourselves the goal of treating people to "normal". The vision of normality at the current stage of human development is moving towards the blurring of this concept. Normal is what a person himself defines as normal and at the same time does not violate the boundaries of other people.

Second, the content and essence of the program is built in such a way that we teach students to be amazed by the infinity of human diversity and to help people cope with their suffering in exactly the ways that are available to people with psychopathological styles of relationships and contact. And the names of these or other features are only help in orienting the therapist to build high-quality psychotherapeutic help and are by no means a sentence for the client. Diagnoses interfere with building contact with a living person, shift the therapeutic process to work with a symptom, interfering with work with the unique human experience as a whole. Program coach:
Yuriy Filimonchuk is the founder of the Ukrainian Institute of Applied Psychology and Psychotherapy. Master of psychology, certified Gestalt therapist, trainer of I and II steps of Gestalt therapy, supervisor. He studied work with psychopathological adaptation from specialists of the Manchester Gestalt Center, trainers of the Los Angeles Gestalt Association, domestic psychotherapists, clinical psychologists and psychiatrists.
Work experience as a psychotherapist - 20 years.

Module topics:
1. General concept of psychopathological adaptation. Diagnostic approach in Gestalt therapy of the field paradigm. Scientific research in Gestalt therapy. Psychoanalytic vision in diagnosis.
2. Gestalt therapy with depressive and manic relationship style.
3. Disturbing relationship style. Panic attacks.
4. Obsessive-compulsive relationship style. Phobic relationship style.
5. Narcissistic, schizoid contact styles.
6. Hysteroid, masochistic contact styles.
7. Paranoid and Dissociative Styles of Contact
8. Psychotic experience. The work of a Gestalt therapist in combination with clinical treatment.
9. Supervision session. Certification.

2. November 14-15, 2026

Other module dates to be agreed upon

Certification conditions:
Participation in all fortnights;
Demonstration work in the last two days;
Description of a psychotherapeutic case.

Meeting time: 10:00-18:00 (Kyiv time)
It takes place online on the ZOOM platform. Under favorable conditions, meetings of a mixed format (offline and online) are possible in Kyiv.
