The course of propaedeutics of psychiatry is a fundamental training course, which is an important step in psychotherapeutic education.

Propaedeutics of psychiatry is a course that introduces the basics of mental disorders:
- their symptoms and clinical manifestations;
- causes of occurrence and mechanisms of development;
- classification and principles of diagnosis;
- approaches to assessing the mental state.
The course develops clinical thinking, teaches to recognize mental disorders,
to distinguish the norm from pathology and to work professionally, ethically and safely with clients.
Main objectives of the course.
Study of the main groups of mental disorders (psychotic, anxiety, neurotic, addictive, etc.).
Familiarization with the etiology and pathogenesis of mental disorders. Assessment of mental functioning disorders.
Mastering basic methods of assessing the mental state. Formation of differential diagnosis skills.
Awareness of the limits of the competence of a psychologist and interaction with a psychiatrist.
Understanding algorithms of actions in complex and crisis cases.

on the topic "Autoaggressive Behavior: Pathogenetic Mechanisms and Clinical and Typological Aspects of Diagnosis and Treatment".
Since 1994, Galina Yakivna has been continuously engaged in medical and consulting activities.
The main areas of practical and scientific activity are psychiatry (including child and adolescent psychiatry), psychotherapy, suicidology.
Author of 220 scientific publications, including 2 textbooks, 3 monographs, 2 manuals and 6 teaching aids.
Leading researcher of the international project "Genetic Investigation of Suicide Attempt and Suicide" (Sweden-Ukraine, 2000-2007).
Headed the Center for Crisis Conditions, worked with acute and complex clinical cases.
Organizer of numerous conferences, scientific and practical seminars and multi-year courses (master classes) on psychiatric propaedeutics.
Experience of many years of cooperation with the NGO "Home and Hope for children", work on the platform "Tell me", with military psychologists and chaplains, etc.

1-2 classes. Psychiatry as a science. Legislative framework for psychiatry in Ukraine. Fundamentals of general psychopathology.
General principles of determining the etiology, pathogenesis and phenomenology of various types of psychopathological disorders.
Main psychopathological syndromes. Registers in psychopathology. Classifications of psychopathological disorders
3 classes. Organic and symptomatic mental disorders (F 0). Mental and behavioral disorders due to the use of psychoactive substances (F 1).
Schizophrenia, schizotypal disorders and delusional disorders (F 2).
4 classes. Affective mood disorders (F 3). Neurotic disorders (F 4): anxiety-phobic, obsessive-compulsive disorder.
5 classes. Neurotic disorders (F 4): stress-related disorders, dissociative and somatoform disorders.
6 classes. Personality and behavioral disorders (F 6).
7 classes. Child and adolescent psychiatry: Disorders of psychological development of the personality (F 8).
Behavioral and emotional disorders that usually begin in childhood and adolescence (F 9)
8 classes. Fundamentals of Suicidology
