The Ukrainian Institute of Applied Psychology and Psychotherapy invites you to a lecture “Psychosomatics: A Doctor’s Perspective”!

There have been many misconceptions and differing views about the concept of psychosomatics.
However, modern medicine has long established a clear connection between the emotional and the physical.
Psychosomatics is not “all in your head,” but a real interaction between the mind and body through neuroendocrine and immune mechanisms.
The body speaks the language of physiology - through physical pain and real signs of dysfunction in organs and systems.
During the lecture, we will explore how stress turns into symptoms, how to distinguish between organic pathology and psychosomatic conditions,
and how to be more effective in helping your clients.

This lecture is about understanding the deep connection between body and mind and developing a more conscious approach to working with it.

Speaker:
Kateryna Martovytska - gastroenterologist, nutritionist, family doctor.
