The Ukrainian Institute of Applied Psychology and Psychotherapy invites you to an author's lecture by Tetyana Koryakina "Why do we choose the "wrong" partners?"
Why are we attracted to people we suffer with again and again? Why, even realizing that relationships do not bring satisfaction, can we repeat similar scenarios?
The choice of a partner is not always just a conscious decision or the result of "chemistry". It can be influenced by our childhood experience, type of attachment, previous relationships, unfinished emotional needs and familiar interaction patterns.
At the lecture, we will consider how partner selection scenarios are formed, why a certain type of people may seem especially attractive to us and what makes us stay in repetitive patterns of relationships.
We will talk about how to better understand our own choices, notice unconscious mechanisms and gradually move to a more conscious way of building close relationships.
This is a lecture about understanding ourselves in relationships, our own needs, attachment and mechanisms that influence our choice of partner.
