Lecture "Biology for Psychologists"

The Ukrainian Institute of Applied Psychology and Psychotherapy invites you to the lecture "Biology for Psychologists"!

It is impossible to explain the psyche by physiology alone. But explaining the psyche without physiology is an even worse idea.
Therefore, we invite you to the lecture "BIOLOGY FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS".

This lecture will help to gather a holistic picture of how the body and psyche interact at different levels.
We will consider complex processes in simple language so that you can better understand clients and more deeply navigate your own reactions.

What the lecture will be about:
1. Synapses and neurotransmitters.
2. Ion currents and neuronal excitation.
3. Emotions, trauma, exposure.
4. Genes, experience and the psyche.

Speaker:
Petro Chornomorets - Candidate of Biological Sciences, expert in mental health, education and systems thinking.
Co-author and head of methodology at Zminotvortsy, lecturer at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, lecturer and consultant-methodologist at Maybutny.
